Museum Mile Givenchy Tribute

Classic Givenchy
Founded in Paris in 1952 by Hubert de Givenchy. The epitome of classic elegance, known for dressing style icons like Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Kennedy. Audrey Hepburn was the Givenchy brand ambassador for 40 years. He designed Audrey’s famous white floral gown for her first Oscars and the gowns she wore in ‘Sabrina.’ Givenchy is Currently a part of LVMH. Claire Wright Keller is the current and first female artistic director, she designed Megan Markle’s royal wedding dress.

This collection includes classic Givenchy pieces and newer Ready to Wear styles, along with a few gowns worn on the red carpet recently.

Givenchy became well known with his first collection, in which he used ’shirting’ to create his billowy silhouettes. He created the ‘shirt dress’ in 1954 and the first luxury Ready to Wear line.
